Since its founding in 1899 in Moline, Parr Instrument Company has continuously manufactured and sold chemical reactors, pressure vessels, calorimeters, combustion vessels, and related equipment developed specifically for laboratory use. In 2023, the company announced a planned expansion to modernize equipment and the facility, provide more space and capacity to grow.  Renew Moline supported Parr and the City by providing essential project management functions in the early negotiations.  The company broke ground on the new facility in April 2024.
