Project Background

In July 2022, Renew Moline accepted a generous donation of the former JCPenney building from the Riverstone Group, with the specific goal of catalyzing positive change along the eastern portion of 5th Avenue in downtown Moline. The vision has always been to transform this vacant asset into a vibrant, mixed-use space that supports downtown living, commerce, and community activity.

This project remains an important part of Renew Moline’s broader efforts to strengthen downtown housing options and foster inclusive, sustainable development that benefits residents and businesses alike.
