    Founded in Moline in 1899, Parr Instrument Company has continuously manufactured and sold chemical reactors, pressure vessels, calorimeters, combustion vessels, and related laboratory equipment for more than a century. In 2023, the company announced a major expansion to modernize its facilities, increase capacity, and support future growth. Renew Moline supported Parr Instrument and the City of Moline by providing essential project management assistance during the early negotiation phases. The company broke ground on the new facility in April 2024.

    Parr Instrument celebrated the completion of its 54,000-square-foot expansion with a ribbon cutting held on December 16, 2025. The project includes new construction that consolidates shipping, receiving, assembly, and inspection under one roof, along with renovations to existing buildings that transformed former manufacturing space into expanded, modern administrative offices. Renew Moline was proud to be involved in early project discussions with the City and is thrilled with Parr Instrument’s continued success and grateful for its lasting contributions to Moline’s economy and community.
